Description
Brown saltglazed stoneware; Raeren or Aachen saltglazed stoneware.
Old numbers 56-C-3014; 296; [?]387 P34, and ‘LONDON’ and ‘SIEGBURG WARE’ [it is not]. Much ofbase restored. These vessels were made and exported in huge numbers from 1475-c 1550, but are also seen slightly later e.g. in the paintings of Bruegel the Elder, 1560s
