probably Bristol saltglazed stoneware
Old number 56-Z.937, W Page; [?] High St St Albans [?]. Handle lost; ale-measure mark GR in oval beneath handle. GR marks are only known on Bristol stonewares, but in other respects this would pass for a London product. Mid-eighteenth century.
