Description
Pair of spectacles in blue leather case. On starting school at Manland Primary in Harpenden in 1943, aged 5, Mr Thrussell’s eyes were tested and he was diagnosed with a slight squint in his left eye. To treat this, he was issued with this pair of glasses, with sticking plaster covering the right lens in the hope of strengthening his left eye. He wore them for less than 12 months.
