Line engraving, 255 x 197 mm (plate size). Engraved by Petrus de Iode from a painting by Antonius van Dyke, published by Joannes Meyssens (Flemish, 1612-1670) in Antwerp.
Portrait entitled 'Beatrix Cosantia Princeps Cantecroyana etc.' [Béatrix de Cusance, Princess of Cante-Croix or Cante-Croy].
Half-length portrait in front of a window, with much finery and pearls; a faithful print from Van Dyck's full-length portrait in the Royal Collection, which shows the Princess on a stair.
Béatrix de Cusance (1614 - 1666) was the wife of Charles IV, Duke of Lorraine.
