Description
Clarence Park Council Notice stating that 'No Ball Games are permitted.' Clarence Park was given to the City of St Albans in 1896 by Sir John Blundell Maple. Blundell Maple lived at Childwickbury, north of St Albans. He was chairman of the London furniture company Maple & Cook, and a friend of King Edward VII, with whom he shared a passion for racehorses.
