Obituary notice of Alderman James Fisk, J.P., born February 3rd, 1837, died June 29th, 1899.
From a supplement to the "Herts Advertiser and St Albans Times," July 8th, 1899.
James Fisk was mayor of St Albans in 1878, 1883 and 1892. He also owned Fisk & Son, a large dapery store on High Street, St Albans. Fisk & Son stood on High Street into the twentieth century, until it was replaced by Blundells department store, which was in turn replaced by Heritage Close.
