Description
Bowl and upper part of stem from a round-bowled bone spoon. This is an example of the common round bowled cochlear or 'rat-tailed spoon. the type is broadly dateable to the earlier roman period in Britain andbeyond.(eg Riha and Stern 1983) 16 previously recorded in Verulamium eg Frere 1972 Fig 55.256. also Neal et al 1990, Fig 140.964-5
