Hand coloured steel engraving showing the old Holywell House which once stood at the bottom of Holywell Hill, St Albans. Holywell House was formerly the residence of the Dowager Countess Spencer. It has since been demolished.
Engraved by J. Storer from a drawing by G.Shepherd for the Beauties of England Wales. Published London by Vernor, Hood & Sharpe, Poultry, September 1st 1806.
