Details seem to have been appended to the wrong image. This is Victoria Street; the featured building is the former fire station. The narrow building behind the pedestrian was the premises of W H Laver, timber merchant. On the far left was the first Liberal Club, later a printing house for a local newspaper; then Arthur Cherry, photographer; and finally the same family's drapery. The site is now part of The Maltings.
