Shows the view looking down Market Place, St Albans from in front of the Old Town Hall (just visible on the left), near the junction with Spencer Street (on the right), looking towards 'The Gables', St Albans Abbey and the Clock Tower. The market is in progress and the street is busy with shoppers and pedestrians and a horse and cart in the right foreground. This building with the balcony to the right is also known as 'The Mansion'.
