Colour lithograph illustration of St Albans Abbey from the north, prior to its restoration in the 1880s by Lord Grimthorpe. The view looking down the path from the Abbey Cloisters or Waxhouse Gate, showing the north entrance to the public passageway which used to separate the Lady Chapel from the main body of St Albans Abbey.
This illustration comes from an advertisement for piano sheet music "Sabbath Recreations. No. 13. A Collection of Sacred Airs for the Piano-forte arranged by J. Pridham."
