Fire brigade buttons and Hill End Asylum buttons fastened together. Fire brigade buttons are silver in colour with the sheild of St Albans stamped on the front. The Asylum button is gold coloured with a sheild bearing a design of Stags in two quarters (the symbol for Herts) and crosses in the other two quarters (the symbol of St Albans)
